oh dear!

I added my own blog to my Google reader today to see how it looks there, and Google says that there are over 200 people subscribed to this blog. Really? Are there 200 of you out there hiding, not commenting, reading about my wedding?!

That makes me feel kinda shy.

Love,

Katie

Yeah, girl! Anyone who can pull off a wedding on a $10,000 budget is definitely subscriber-worthy!

I just 'discovered' your blog yesterday and it is great! Thank you so much, you have no idea how much it helps. We are planning our budget-conscious wedding from afar and I have been a tad bit stressed. Your advice, explanations, tips are wonderful. YOUR wedding looks beautiful.. and I just love your dress.
Thanks again!

Hi there! I'm a 'lurking' reader from Melbourne, Australia who hasn't left a comment for you before. SORRY! I have been enjoying your blog for quite some time now... perhaps even longer than I have been engaged? ;) I absolutely adore it and it has given me lots of inspiration and courage for our wedding which we are planning for April 2010. It even inspired me to start up my own wedding blog :) Thank you so much xx

p.s. maybe you'd like to know where people are reading from? I'm Canadian, from the East Coast, but currently living in Belgium, we're hoping to get married July 2010. Have a nice Tuesday!

I admit, I'm a lurker too--I discovered your blog after you were already married. I love the ideas and your wedding looked fabulous! I'm trying to do a lot of DIY for my wedding too.

I'm from the DC area (and normally I don't comment as "anonymous" but I think my blogger name is my full name, hehe).

Another guilty one here! I can't remember if I have commented before, but I don't frequently comment much since I tend to catch up on Google Reader when I'm not supposed it.

I'm bummed I didn't find your blog earlier. My fiancee and I will be getting married this September on my dad's farm in Colorado with a $10k budget. It's so great seeing other people who have pulled off this sort of thing!

Your blog was listed on some OTHER wedding blog's "best 100 wedding blogs" list... that's where I found it. And yes, I've read it "cover-to-cover". Eeek. I'll try not to lurk.

You're inspirational! I'm planning at $10,000 wedding right now, and it is so nice to know that it can be done and it can be beautiful. It's really nice to be able to use others' photos to explain a tone or tenor that you aspire to, especially to the groom. He loved the way you did your lights, by the way. Thanks for posting!

Don't feel shy. You're blog has been a huge inspiration for me and just a reminder that I can have the wedding I want with the budget I want.

I just found your blog a few days ago when I was looking up DIY invitations, and I saw 2000 dollar wedding and she linked to yours, and I thought "Well I'm having a backyard wedding too!" so I figured you might have some great ideas. :D

I just started my own wedding blog to document all my ideas and projects and inspirations. And I must say your blog is a great inspiration!

Yes, I heart your blog, I've linked to it so many times! The day I found it I read through all your posts - yours is truly my most favorite wedding blog.

I'm a lurker from Seattle and I check your blog every few days to get ideas for my cheap wedding (under $2000) and to avoid homework. If you stop blogging I might have to actually write my ACLU proposal...

I discovered your wedding from another blog (can't remember which one!) and absolutely LOVE how personal and pretty it was. Just wonderful.

I'm only 2&1/2 weeks into this wedding planning torture with a budget of $8000 and I'm so happy to find your blog (and a few others) to help me cope.

If only I could have a backyard wedding. I have 100 guests (a lot or too much family) and some difficult demands from my boy to be (mainly - must be IN Seattle). Anyone out there know of any backyards IN Seattle and available for event rental?

um, i'm so very much a lurker. your site is bookmarked and i check it weekly. we've been trying to plan a low-cost, eco friendly, fun and inclusive backyard wedding for almost three years now, and your blog has inspired me so much--so thank you for being such a good wedding planner! I must tell you also that I was helping to teach a graduate level arts therapy class this weekend (writing as a therapeutic modality) and while discussing the pros and cons of using blogs with clients in therapy, we were asked to share our favorites, and I shared yours with a few folks. you're college material, lady!

and in sharing favorites, i mean blogs, not clients. tee hee.

The key to staying on budget is making it an adventure, and that is what you did! Thanks for sharing your ideas!

My fiance and I love you blog! We found it while looking for inspirations for our own backyard wedding. Thanks for answering all our questions!! I will let you know how it turns out.

I found your blog a few weeks ago.
I didn't read it all, but I think it will be helpful not for the wedding (we found a place to rent) but for the days before and after (we're planning to stay at my grand-parents)
Thank you!
